1993 Hunter 33.5 Core Material

Does anyone know what the core material is for a 1993 Hunter 33.5, I am not sure if it balsa or plywood.

I don't know if you are talking about the hull or deck, but I can almost (but won't) guarantee it is not plywood. The only time plywood has been used for core material would be for decks (like old O'Days), but I am not aware of anyone using plywood in hulls (unless it was in a transom and long before your 33 was in production).

Sorry for the confusion - it is for the deck. I would like to know that the core material is for the deck.

On my 1990 35.5 legend the removable deck behind the helm was made of 3" by 3" squares of 3/4" plywood. The deck was water logged and I had to separate the upper and lower skins and repack the core with epoxy and wood. I do not know about the rest of the deck.
