Hey all -
I've attached some pictures of the 'chainplates' on my darlin' Willadine.
It appears that when the starboard side backing plate was installed, the installer felt the need to grind away part of the flange or lip at the edge of the hull. This apparently wasn't a problem on the port side.
This does not look good to me, but it seems to have held up. There are some additional gelcoat cracks around the U-bolts on the starboard side as compared to the port, but no obvious deformation on either side. We've been sailing the pee out of her (and loving it).
Is this a problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks to all,
e
