Hi, I have a 1992 hunter 33.5. Underneath the head sink, the fresh water plumbing system has T-joint connectors (one for cold and one for hot) which are leaking. The T-joints connect the grey plumbing pipe at 2 ends, to the flexible hose from the tank and is connected to the T via a barb. The T-joint is also grey plastic. Does anyone know where I could purhace replacement T-Joints, either original manufacturer or something that will work? I spent a couple of hours at RV shops and Home Depot with no success. Thanks!!

Probably have to just find something that works. Find some adapters (Lowe's has a good variety). Last time I did any sort of plumbing work on my boat that's what I did.

That gray plumbing is not the ordinary rigid plastic gray plumbing found in Lowe's, HD or hardware stores; it's polybutylene (Sp?). It was used for a while in the RV and boat industry and found its way into the commercial construction industry with unacceptable results. As I remember it, the stuff has unusual expansion/contraction characteristics that, when used in long runs - as in buildings - caused serious leaking problems. I'm fairly certain that it is no longer produced. I also believe that you cannot mix it with the ordinary rigid plastic gray tubing and fixtures that are readily available at Lowe's or HD. However, I would contact Hunter Marine Tech for their recommendations. FYI: my "T" connections were leaking in my '90 35.5 but I was able to get a wrench on them (with difficulty) and tighten them.

You probably have either Qest or Pex plumbing. Check out McMaster they may have some of the parts. Most Ace Hardware stores have this stuff as well as places like Home Depot & Mobile Home dealers.

I think that there are some fitting so you can bridge Qest to Pex, but I am not sure about this.

The Qest stuff worked fine in boats where we have low pressure. It sucked when it was installed on a municipal water supply.
