I am looking for a factory (or heavy duty equivalent) cradle for my 92 Hunter 30. The collapsable cradle that came with the boat is too weak to use with the hydralic trailers used on my lake. Any ideas on source?? Dave

7-pad cradle

I have a collapsible steel cradle made by the Marine Cradle Shop in Toronto, Ontario. (905) 294-3507. It has 7 adjustable pads and is fairly sturdy. My yacht club launches and retrieves the boats by crane by putting the cradles on hydraulic trailers that are like long "U-shapes" that can raise and lower enough to put the cradle on blocks on the ground. I assume that is what you are describing. There seems to be no problem with the cradle's strength. There is a Hunter 37 in the club that is handled this way with no problem.

Rock a By Hunter

I have a '91 30T which I purchased without cradle. I had one made and instead of pads I build bunks which distribute the load better on the hull. I have a plan for it if you'd like a copy. I cost me about $1300.00 canadian but is built very sturdily,
