Hello all,

We're having the standing rigging replaced on our boat and thought I'd share the data sheet for the rigging. Your mileage may vary for the forestay depending on if/or what type of roller furling gear you have.

See attachment...

Cheers,

Brian

Hello rbyham, This is not a DIY job... too many specialized tools and knowledge. I'm a DIY guy, but knowing when to have a pro do it keeps us humble... We're having SSMR in St. Pete, FL do the re-rig. The initial quote was $2,300, but there were a few issues with getting the spreaders detached due to a pin that was apparently a bad design. I'm sure the cost will go up a little bit. We'll find out tomorrow...

In spite of the fact there was an additional day of labor due to seized pins and unforeseen circumstances, SSMR kept their word and kept our bill at $2300. There was a lot of blood/sweat/tears that went into this process on their part, and Steve stated, "It is just a challenge to us, because at the end of the day, we are going to make it right." And they did. These guys are true professionals, and explained every step of the process. Honestly, they are amazing people, and their goal is to get you back on the water to sail moreso than anything!
