Hi just purchased 1990 and starting to figure out what to add before it is launched in a few weeks.
It has an ST60 as well as an ap3000 and I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a chart plotter that would go with these instruments
Also was wondering about adding a feathering prop, can you suggest a make and model I am in Toronto
Thanks Floyd

Floyd,

Congrats on your new boat. I am sure you will love it. We have been sailing a 35.5 for the past 14 years on Lake Champlain. It sounds optimistic for me if you can put your boat in the water in a few weeks :) ... In Plattsburgh NY it won't be before mid May. I am also thinking about a feathering prop and leaning toward a 15 in. Kiwi prop. I am including a picture with our set of Raymarine instrument ST-60 and ST 6000 +. I do not use a chart plotter.
Have a wonderful season.

Congratulations, and good wind. I have finished restoring, I find it a fantastic boat. Perfect fit for two or four people. Put some good sails.

One thing you might want to check is the headsail roller furling. The roller furling might have been upgraded to correct a design flaw allowing the headsail to deploy fully when partially furled ("reefed"). The upgrade came apart on a friends boat. I still have the original headfurl system.

Do you have a photo I have a drawing of this change?I enlarged the hole of the roller, I reinforced with resin, I changed the angle shot of hot, everything works fine.
But I'm curious as to how you have changed you.
I hope I have translated well, a greeting to all.:)

Do any of you know what diameter the shaft is for the prop, I want to definitely change it what would you recommend for the least drag but still good motoring ? I would like to do a bit of racing. Also I am considering installing a Jumper Strut to this 1990 35.5 I noticed there was a discussion about these previously, just wondering if there is any issue with the sails getting interference from the bottom part of the strut
Thanks Floyd
