1990 30G sidestay chainplate re-bedding

Hey all- Just wondering if anyone else has re-bed the deck hardware for the sidestay on the 30G? The PO gooped a bunch of caulking around it to stop a small leak, and I've got the mast down right now, so was hoping to fix it right. Is it possible that the bolts on the bottom (below the deck) are fixed in place? or is this going to entail digging through the headliner?

pull your seat back cushion off and you can see where a round rod comes from the deck hardware down. I haven't had to get into ours yet.
