I have a 1989 Hunter 37 where the settee table makes a double berth. I am able to set the berth up easily, but either I have not found the right cushion combination or a previous owner has changed the cushion design. No matter what combination I used the cushions did not line up very well or make a semi-smooth mattress. Does anyone have the same setup that can offer advice on the cushion arrangement or the cushion dimensions so I can figure it out. Thanks in advance.

There should be a cushion the exact shape of the table so that when the table drops down you simply place the cushion on the table and it fills in the gap to make the total double berth. It will be a little bumpy because there is a raised portion of each seat cushion that would fit under the name of the person sitting to help them from sliding out or off of the bench seat. I am going to my boat this weekend and I will happily take some pictures and or video for you if it will help.

If it requires an extra cushion it did not come with the boat. I was thinking maybe the backs of the settee could be arranged in some way to fill the table gap since that would eliminate having to store the extra cushion. If you can take a couple of pictures that would be great. Where do you store the cushion when not using the table as a berth?
I purchased this Hunter 37 last year and really have enjoyed it so far. I am still fixing minor issues that the previous owner let go and making some personal changes, but it seems to be a great boat overall.

I think you'll find this boat to be a really great sailing boat. When the cushion is not in use so I either throw it back in the Queen birth in the aft cabin or put it in the v-berth in the forward cabin. I'll post some pics on the weekend.

Thanks. I dont really need the extra sleeping area right now, but I may get a cushion made when I have the rest of the upholstery redone. It's in pretty poor shape, but so far we just throw a blanket over the bad areas and live with it.
