1989 Hunter 26.5 with different windows

I recently purchased a Hunter 26.5 but I noticed that the port and starboard windows were different than any other 26.5 i had seen. Finally saw another 89 and realized it was a year model thing. Anyone know why they would do that? Gigantic, by comparison, windows on the 83 - 88 that I have come across then there is the 1/5th the size portholes on my 89. What gives?

It's not unusual that ports or other details will change during a production run. Maybe it was freshen the design, or a response to a competitor's new model, or a new supplier who provided a cost-effective method of installing larger ports.
