I just purchased a 1989 Hunter 33.5. The surveyor suggested that I rebed the port jib track. Has anyone removed the track to rebed it? If so, what is the procedure and how difficult is it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd ask the surveyor

Since he's the one who discovered the problem, he might have the best idea of how to remedy it. Short answer would be to put the same screws through the track, but at different points in new beds.

not difficult...

Just time consuming. First you have to remove the track. If it's bedded with 3M 5200, it's going to take elbow grease and patience. Try spraying with some anti-bond, and make up a piano wire with two handles to try and cut through the 5200. Also use a putty knife. Then clean and scrape off the old compound, rebed and rebolt. Or make it a condition of sale that the seller pays for the work, or knocks down the price.
