Having a very difficult time finding a waste basket that fits the opening in my 88 C22. Does anyone have a source for a replacement waste basket??
Thanks so much

The '88 has a dedicated waste basket slot? No fair! And no wonder the New Design has such a good rep! We removed the keel-winch cover and always used a Nancy's Yogurt container bungeed to the cable tube :)

It's been five or six years since I did an exhaustive search, but I never found one that would fit. Our boat still had one when we bought her, thank goodness, but it was cracked so I wanted to find a new one.

If ours ever becomes unserviceable, I suppose I'll fabricate one out of thin fiberglass sheet. It wouldn't be hard to do.

Gene, you may have a business opportunity. Let’s see, how many Catalina 22’s were produced? 18-20 thousand!

The originals were made by Rubbermaid. Mine had a Rubbermaid sticker on the outside with a part number. Unfortunately I don't own the boat anymore, and apparently deleted the photo of it.

Mine came with the boat but was also cracked. Duct tape has been holding it together for a few years without problem tho. I've entertained transforming that space into something else maybe even an icebox. Haven't really thought it thru..
