I'm considering purchasing a 1988 28.5 and a big concern is where would a couple sleep if one of you (me) is 6'4". From the pictures I find, the vee berth looks good for children and what else is there? a quarter berth? I must be missing something. PLease help!

The 28.5 table is fixed and does'nt drop down. The V berth is about 6ft. long and would be OK if you are alone in it. The aft berth/cabin is longer and is touted as a double but I would only say it was for two smaller stature people. You would fit just fine. The two setees will each be over 6ft. long but you need to remove the forward curved cushion which is tough to store. There is a foot hole behind it. Most of the 28.5 s in my marina have taken theirs out. I removed mine and put a padded rail along each side just under the storage areas and use two pillows to lean against that cover the foot holes. I also replaced the setee cushions and made them wider, 24" and they very comfortable.
