Our quick solution was a bed net draped over the boat. ~$15, and works with the pop-top up or down. A season or two ago I hacked together a companionway-specific screen from a bit of fiberglass screening, a couple scraps of dowel (cut to fit the drop-board slots), and some 3" duct tape. That's a little easier to deploy, but not necessarily any more effective.

Just make a soft net cover with fishing weights on bottom and rigid plastic or wire to with bungee cord retainers to handrails like in da pix.

It looks loose but when you pull the top up over the hatch end it tightens up . But easy to sweep aside for rapid exit or entry.

Coleman Thermacell will eliminate the need for screens, unless your problem is something other than mosquitoes.
