Fuel Tank
My boat is a 1986 Cal33-2 and I pulled the tank last year and had it cleaned out and put some paint on the bottom before I re-installed it. I then replaced all the fuel lines from the tank all the wsy to the injector pump. That engine runs great now. Prior to this it would quit and not re-start unless I did something unusual like use a temporary tank.I painted the bottom because it had some corrosion on the bottom four inches or so. Maybe salt water got in there somehow from something a previous owner did. I don't know how since there's no other evidence of water in that compartment.Anyway, I measured it and it's a big wedge shape 39" long, 12.5" high, 22.0" across the top, and 24.25" from the top along the diagonal to the bottom which is only 1.0" wide. You're not going to find an "off the shelf" tank like that but there were a couple that looked like they would fit but with less capacity.Could you repair the old one?I know you could get a custom one made to match. There's a friend of mine that's in that business, If you want his number for an estimate let me know. He did an excellent job repairing my stern rail.Best of Luck,Chuck
