1985 Beneteau First 305 - good purchase??

The Firsdt 305 is a great boat but there are a couple of things to look for. The leatherette covering Beneteau used on the interior has a tendency to come off. This material was backed with a thin foam. Also the windows, which were Lexan, may need to be replaced, look for leaks. Finally re-route ice box drain so you can pump it overboard rater than have it collect in the bilge. Check your keel bolts and backing plates with a magnet to see if they are stainless steel. We loved our first 29 that was the sister boat. She was fast, stable, and could stand up to about anything.
