This is from the starboard side aft part of my keel. Does this little rust streak look like something I should be worried about?

I assume the 1984 34 keel, like the 1985 28, is lead and not iron? If so the source of that streak is more mysterious than the usual rusting iron keel. The two possibilities I can think of are an impurity in the casting (not uncommon, though a streak like that is not the normal sign of it), or something originating from a keel bolt. I’d start by cleaning up the surface to try to verify whether the source is just close to the surface along the edge or if it seems to be running out from further inboard.
It is an iron keel. Here’sa picture of the entire keel. I’m hoping it’s not a keel bolt.

Thanks for the reminder that the 34 did go back and forth between lead and iron over the years. So it could be just surface rust from the upper corner of the iron.
