Does anyone know what size spreader end cap (boot) to order for a 1984 Newport Mk3 30-foot, before I pay someone to go up the mast?

It's a pretty standard design. If you don't send someone up the mast, you may have to guess at the spreader tip size.

I found that silicone tape works better than rigging tape for spreader boots. Self amalgamating splicing tape works better than both of those but it only comes in black. I like to use zip ties and then tape over that

Yes, the silicone stuff, like Rescue Tape, comes in different colors but the splicing tape seems to stick to itself and hold up to UV better
