Hello! I'm new to the forum and it has been about 25 years since I have done any significant sailing. My father-in-law recently passed and left me his 84 Hunter 20. It has sat in the driveway for many years and I am working on bringing her back to life. My current search is for a bow pulpit. Apparently it got damaged and cannot be found. I've seen a few on eBay that may work but I don't have the measurements. I'm wondering if there are any Hunter 20 owners out there that would be willing to post their bow pulpit measurements? I have attached a couple of photos of one from eBay that shows the measurements I am looking for.

Thanks so much!

Welcome to the forum!
Check with the kind folks that run the forum store on this site. They may have the build list for your boat. @Crazy Dave Condon may also be able to help.

I would suggest looking at the ones on line but before you do, measure the bolt patter on the boat first. As for the build list on that boat, call the forum store and ask for Mike. Some of the records were destroyed due to a roof that caved in from a storm. A new bow pulpit would cost alot.
If you can find one close to the old bolt pattern would be sugggested as you can always fill the old holes in first

Couldn’t you ask the sellers of the ones you have found online for the measurements on their bow pulpit and then see if it’ll fit on your boat?

They have provided the measurements on the images. That's what I posted above. I didn't think to just measure the bolt holes as @Crazy Dave Condon suggested. /facepalm

It is unlikely the holes will line up. Filling the old holes and tapping new ones would be easy and inexpensive. The question is will the pulpit’s stanchions sit in a place where you could get a backing plate in place?

Unfortunately the one in the images is too big. But I do have good access to get a backing plate in place. I'll keep hunting!

Good call. I think it would be most cost-effective to find a used one and drill new holes and back the bolts. There are a lot of "free" boats on craigslist and FB marketplace. You might find that you also can repurpose a few cleats and a winch etc.
