1984 H22 plumbing

I am curious if there are any other H22 owners out there who can clear the confusion I have about the plumbing scheme on my newly acquired boat.It is an '84 . It has a drain for the galley sink that is open-ended and near to but not connected to , what used to be , I believe , the salt water INTAKE for the old overboard flush toilet , which has been disconnected. I am not sure if the level of the sink is above , at , or below the waterline. I am reluctant to use it if it is going to be a safety issue. I am interested in hearing from other H22 owners about their level of satifaction with the fresh water tank , galley pump, and drain system in their boats. Thanks.Dave Roscoe Bristol RI

1981 H22

The galley drain on my boat is on the starboard side of the companion way. It is below the water line and has a screw in valve ( I need to replace the valve with a good sea cock). My galley pump is electric, very nice when I empty the tank for the winter. I have a port-a-potty on board. I have never had any problems with the galley draining or leakes into the boat.

I have never had any problems with the galley draining or leakes into the boat.

hunter 22 drain

I have only one drain on the starboard side of the companion way I replaced it with a bronze through hul and a good seacock valve as the standard was a gate valve ( not the best ) and a plastic through hull. I do not have a overboard drain for the toilet. The sink drains well and I feel better about the through hull being metal.Scott
