1984 31 ft. Hunter Traveler Block

Noticed a leak coming from the starboard window frame. I siliconed the window frame.This did not solve the problem. Checked all surrounding areas with a hose and found the leak is from the traveler block.How can I remove the traveler block so I can reseal, to stop the leak??Is the block backing plate permanently fiberglassed to the superstructure?

I have an 81 H30 so my older stuff may not correspont with yours, but this is how my mainsheet traveler can be removed. On the ends of the track, I have stoppers that are held in place with a simple straight pin. A pair of pliers pulls them right out. Then I slide the stoppers off. This exposes all of the screws/bolts that hold down my track. If mine were leaking, removing the track and rebeddeing all the holes with sealant, and resealing the screws/bolts when I reinstall them would stop water from coming in. I hope this helps.

and you are sure that it is not the companionway

Jack:Since you poured water on the traveler are you sure that you did not get water on the companionway hatch. If this is NOT the case, then you should be able to remove all of the screws/bolts from the traveler to raise it. Then clean it properly and re-caulk it. Be sure that you do NOT tighten it down when you re-attach it. Just tighten enough to allow the caulking to ooze out slightly. Then come back the next day and tighten it down.
