1983 Cherubini Hunter 27 Interior locker doors

I recently purchased a 1983 Cherubini Hunter 27 and am looking for photos, dimension, hinge hardware, doors, etc. for the storage locker locked on the starboard side of the boat. The previous owner removed the doors and interior shelf and installed a small refrigerator. I do not need the refrigerator but would like a photo of the doors, interior shelf and hinges. I can make these but would prefer to find some that were pre-cut.

I also need a photo, dimensions, for the exterior and interior of the navigation station and locker located on the port side of the boat. The entire locker was removed and I have been unable to find any good photos and dimensions so I can purchase one or build one.

Thanks for the help.

Calvin, we are not ignoring you is that apparently no one has readily available photos. The truth is that restoring an h27 may have as much merit as restoring a Ford Fiesta. In my recollection the h27 had galley cabinet in the starboard side. It was L shaped and had two doors one side and three narrow drawers by the companionway. A shelf on the main cabinets allowed the storage of cooking ware and some canned goods. On top there was a composite counter with a two burner stove top and a small galley sink above the drawers. I'm not knocking the design as it made the best use of the scarce available space but it would probably be very costly to re-do. Go ahead and design and build something that would work for you.

Thanks for the reply. I contacted the person I sold that purchased my 1978 Hunter 27 and I will try to get photos and measurements from that boat. As I recall the interiors are almost identical and I can get photos and measurements. Just thought of that today. Thanks

What Benny sez.. When we had our H27, digital cameras were not around, so any photos I have were taken on film and developed to print. I know I must have a couple of shots of the interior, but... they would be stuffed in an envelope from the 1hr processing place along with a bunch of other non-related photos, crammed in a box with a zillion other envelopes of prints and marked 'save' or something like that, and in a shed packed to the roof with zillions of other boxes of who knows what, all pretty much marked 'save' as well

Cheers,
Brad

If I were doing new cabinetry I might opt for some mahogany veneer, much warmer and classy than teak.

I have an '80 and would be happy to send pictures of ours. Sounds like the same layout.

Thanks. I want to see if my thoughts are correct in that it is similar to what I had on my 1978 Cherubini Hunter 27.

I am going to have to take more photos tomorrow. For some reason, I had it in my head you wanted photos of the hanging locker and completely forgot about the galley and navigation station. It wasn't until I was adding the photos that I re-read your question and realized I am an idiot. ; ) I will be back at the marina tomorrow and will make sure to get the right photos and the dimensions. Sorry about that!

Wow that cabinetry around the head looks great. A lot cleaner than the H27 I bought a couple months back. How did you treat / clean your wood and it looks like oil on there now, is that correct? Again, looks great !

That hanging locker looks great! I have the same, but it is filled with head plumbing. Where are your head hoses?

The only hoses in the hanging locker are the ones that go to/from the holding tank. The raw water intake runs through the wall between head and v-berth. Changing the hoses is on my 'to do' list..... they are nasty!

Thanks! I can't take credit for the cabinetry. My wife scoured the interior of the boat when we took possession. She used Murphy's soap on the wood and it came out great. Haven't done anything beyond that at this point. We do have a couple areas where there is some water damage that we will tackle at some point.

Each door is 9.5" x 18.75" and 10" up from the lowest part of the floor.

There is one shelf that is about 11" up from the bottom of the cabinet. It is either 17" or 19" deep (can't read my own writing). Hopefully the pictures will make sense.

I also took a few photos of the nav station. Let me know if you need measurements.

As for a locker on the port side. Are you talking about the quarter berth??

Hope this helps!
