Hi All,
I've read extensively through all the previous threads about the Tierods shearing, the mass corrosion on the anchor plates, and the difficulties of getting into the plates.
The tierod on the starboard side sheared in my case, and the port side looks ready to go.
Can anyone that's successfully completed a restoration, either via replacement, or via alteration, let me know how you got on?
Any photos would be a massive help, what with me still learning the ropes of boat owning.
I'm currently in Cancun so if anyone has commissioned work done here before, and you suggest i use the same people that would be great too.
Also give it to me straight, start to finish, how long should I expect to be stationary. I have guests onboard, and I want to let them down softly.
Many Thanks
Matthew
