Looking for the air cleaner top for 1gM yanmar, the base is still there just all else is gone. Any ideas where to find one.

Contact your nearest authorized Yanmar dealer and have them order the part. It is called the Air Intake Silencer and retails for around $80. The filters are extra and those sell for around $19.
Old Crow...man that sucks if someone actually tossed everything but the base. Torresen lists a 1GM and a 1GM10 and there is conflicting info on the "air intake silencer" for the 1GM. For the 1GM10 they list part# 128171-12500 as the right one. Before I ordered anything, and by the way, they won't sell to us in Texas, I'd call them with your actual serial # off the engine and get their advice. Below will be a link to their catalogs. Parts for Yanmars can be bought from Gulf Coast Composite Marine Specialists in Kemah, Brandt or Todd @ 281-334-4417. They're new to the game though and you should be sure of the part # before ordering. Unfortunately, Benny is correct about the pricing. You might try to find a scrapped 1GM somewhere.
