I am curious what this threaded plug is behind a New To Me 1981 Hunter 22. shallow draft with swing keel. It looks like a drain plug hole,, but the boat Did Not come with a drain plug of any sorts. It appears to be about 5/8 inch hole.. Any Help Or Direction would be greatly appreciated. I can buy a rubber expandable plug,, or is there something Original to the boat,, Like a screw in plug available?

I attached 2 Photos of the threaded Hole. It Is Directly behind the Keel. And Is Accessible from the removable panel in front of the Battery Storage area.

There is another thru Hull with valve. I am not sure if his is for pumping in water to the sink,, or draining out water???

Thanks in advance for any and all info.

Jeff

Who knows from what I am looking at. That is not for electronics nor is there anything to tell us what it was for. \\\

One concern. Is it screwed into the fiberglass as it appears to be threaded? If so, that eventually could be a source of water penetration in the future. What does it look like on the outside of the hull? Please post another photo

Ok Well Thank you.

I guess My Question should Have been If there are any 1981 Hunter 22 Owners who Have A Similar Hole Under the Access Panel In Front of the Battery Storage Area Under The Sink. Mine Looks Original To The Boat. It Is Threaded All the way through. Looks to be 5/8" Fine Thread.

Was it a Screw In Plug,, Or And Expandable Rubber style Plug was My Concern.

Jeff.
