A good HC37 is a great boat, we love ours, and eventually hope to go coastal cruising in her. It is a huge step up from our previous swing keel 23 foot Clipper Marine.
There is no doubt though, that if proper upkeep has not been done, then in 30 years a lot of problems will have built up. We have probably spent as much again as the boat originally cost ($27,000) and we did not have any major structural defects.
