I recentlt purchased a 1979 Oday 30' and the title shows G & L Marine as the make on the title, how can I check the hull number on the boat? And how do I get the title changed to reflect Oday as the make?

The hull number (HIN) should be on the upper starboard corner of the transom. It will begin with three letters, then some numbers. The numbers represent the model and the hull production number for the model. The rest of the information will be the manufacture date. If you search for HIN decoder you will find several websites that will explain in greater detail and allow you to decode the number.
The Manufacturer may not be the same as the model name. Back in those days there several big manufacturers who produced several different lines of boats. O'Day as a brand has an extensive history. An internet search will reveal its history. The brand was sold several times. Bangor Punta was one such company.
As for changing the title, you'll have to take that up with your local DMV.
