Rudder head replacement
Stephen - If by "rudder head" you're referring to the aluminum casting that's bolted to the top of the rudder post and to which the tiller is attached, I guess the standard answer is to try Rudy Nickerson at D & R Marine.Or try & find an old boat that someone is parting out.If both of those options don't produce results, make one out of some 316 stainless pipe & plate. Any metal fabrication shop that can cut, weld & machine stainles should be able to do it, tho that will probably be pricey.Remember to support the rudder before you take the old part off, as it's holding the rudder post from slipping down the rudder tube.
