I just wanted to express my excitement that our offer on a 1978 Hunter 30 was just accepted. We're still in the process of selling our 2000 Hunter 240 but would love the group's opinion of this new boat. Most of the reviews on this site are great. The interior is in exceptional condition, the boat surveyed well and we can't wait the two weeks before we take possession. We're very excited (obviously). This will be the first "big" boat we've owned. Lots to learn but it will be fun.

It's a Cherubini, . . . . .

what could be better! :) Go to "Forum Archives" and search on just about any topic for the H30. You will find tons of information. Also "Photo Forum" and then the "Owner's Directory" to both sign in and to see how many other H30 owners are registered. And watch the "Cherubini Forum". Hope you enjoy the H30 as much as I have the H37C. I attached an H30 picture that I like.

We love ours.

We have had our 1978 H30 for 8+ years and still love it. We just bought new sails to replace the original ones and are doing a little upgrade work on the galley. It is a rugged boat with a fair turn of speed when the wind get over 10 kts. Attached is a picture of "The Cure" at anchor in Reedville, VA on the Chesapeake. Good Luck with your "new" boat and I hope you get as much pleasure out of it as we do ours.

Great photo Brett!

I'm going to build an H30 "fan site." More like a log of our journey from New Jersey, up the Hudson and into the Erie Canal. Would love to use your photo (properly creditted, of course) on the site. Would that be okay? I'm obviously chomping at the bit over this boat.

Eric, feel free to use it.

That photo is one of several I use on my screensaver at work. It helps me to remember that I work to support my sailing habit. Feel free to use the picture. Let me know where you end up posting it, please.

Working site

This is the site that I will document the journey on: http://www.communiquedesign.com/hunter30 Bookmark this and check back between now and May 15th. I think you'll enjoy the travel log I'm planning. By the way, I'm tempted to snag www.hunter30.com since no one has it. Should we get a bunch of us to split it and I'll build the site?
