Back in October I hit a reef and broke my rudder. Have kept it tied up at my slip looking to find a replacemente at a reasonable price. Boat repair experts here have told me they could fix it, but it'll be easier and a sturdier repair to get a new one. Can you Foss Foam Rudders help me with my almost classic model?? Hope so!

Just interested to know how you hit a reef and only damaged the rudder. did you do damage to the keel as well. Just looking learn from other peoples bumps bruises and broken rudders.

To answer your question as to how I only damaged the rudder... From what I remember, we smoothed into a v shape area of the reef and in trying to back out, the rudder apparently hit a reef wall causing it to snap. I actually haven't taken the boat out of the water yet to asses the entire damage, but I do expect at least some heavy scratches on the keel, plus replacement of the propeller and shaft. Ouch!
