1976 hunter 30 front hatch cover

does anyone know of any parts boats out there, lost my front hatch cover, contacted hunter and they said they do not stock it any more ( found them to be helpful though ). it is a fiberglass cover that is not quite square. any suggestions??? i dont think i can put in a new hatch since the deck is molded up around the opening.regards,mike

Sounds like a PO mod

Some prior owner modified the hatch from the standard, I think. If it were me, I'd get the standard Bomar replacement which is available from Pompanette, and figure out how to mount it. They are good hatches.Any chance you could post a photo to help us see your actual set-up?DavidLady Lillie

thanks dave, but in 1976 hunter didnt use bomar, they made their own hatch in the mold, and created a fiberglass cover for it, it appears if i try to cut down the raised portion it will partly go into the head.
