There is a fellow selling what he is advertising as a 1975 Hunter 19 which I have pictured below.

Does anyone have any information on these boats? Could this be a Cherubini hull design?? I cannot seem to find anything on them.

I plan on buying this one as soon as I can meet with the owner...it is on a trailer.

Best,
JB

If you look above under "Boat Info" you will see that there were two periods when Hunter built a 19, 1981-83 and 1993-96. Neither of these were Cherubini designs so far as I know. And neither look anything like your pictures. Check the title and make sure it matches the hull-id on the transom. If it has to be a Hunter then make certain the HIN starts with "HUN". The pictures are too small to get much of an idea. And I cannot make out the sail insignia.

Re: 1975 Hunter 19' - British Hunter?

Could this be a british built boat? There was a company in the UK that built a line of small sailboats under the Hunter name - no relation to the USA Hunter company.

The Prior Owner says he is 98% Certain it is a 1975 Hunter

I have submitted a deposit sight unseen on the boat and am picking it up this weekend. I am very curious as it sure seems to have Hunter lines and a Hunter logo on the sail.

I will know more in the next couple of days. Anyone with additional information please feel free to chime in.

Well, for $700, you can't really go wrong.. I'd probably jump on it myself if it were local to me. Good luck with it and let us know what the HIN is so we can verify it really is a Hunter!

Edit: I believe Jim is correct.. it appears to be a British built Hunter; the Hunter 19 "Europa". There is a Hunter Association that has more information on the boat: http://www.hunterassociation.org.uk

Here is a better picture:

Brad
