it seems old sailboats are hard to sell.is it better to part out a 1973 22oday?it seems like a shame to take apart a sailable boat,when all i want for it complete is $500!!. i sailed her yesterday on the southshore of long island and the thought of dismantling her is gross.where should i list her parts on this forum. the only reason im parting with her so quick is i just bought a 1971 23 poptop that is in great shape,much more suitable for me and the 4 kids.any help is always appreciated.

I'm interested, just need to figure out how to get it to my place in CT. I have a trailer for my current Oday 22, would need to get the boat off to go pick that one up.
roller furler,teak,rudder,cockpit door,bowrail and stantions are spoken for.the bare hull will be free to whoever wants to come and get it this weekend or i will cut the lead out of it and take the rest to the dump.

I don't think the '73 22 masthead rig sails will fit too well on the 222 fractional rig, I believe they are very different dimensions...
I have a masthead rig oday 22 and would be interested in any remaining parts including the mast and boom.
Seems a shame to do that, to that boat. Looks in good working order to me. For the sake of 500 bucks, could you not just have donted it to boat angel or something like that. Had it been in the right place, and had i needed a boat, (which i did over the past few years) i would have jumped at it. I am sure their are a lot of young kids who would love a sailboat like that, but cant afford a few thousand, and i am sure if they knew one was going for 500 they too would jump at it.
it is a shame.i didnt have room to store it and time to waste with tire kickers. the parts will make everyone else very happy.maybe someone has a ratty hull and will save this one before it gets crushed.
