We just bought a very old 1962 Oday. It is in amazingly good shape since it has been kept inside for most of these years. Does anyone know anything about this boat? Were there different models? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....Clay

Check out this site: http://www.iheartodays.com/ for model information. This boat is probably a Rhodes 19. O'Day built a keel version and a centerboard version of this boat. They are noted for being a very fast sailboat.

Thanks so much, Joe. This site is really a big help and gives us a place to start. Our boat has a centerboard and just might be a Rhodes 19. Our research continues......

One of our past YC members had an O'Day Rhodes 19 centerboard sloop. They are a fast sailer and the cuddy looks like it would be large enough to duck into in a sudden down pore. They don't have a self bailing cockpit, but you could always rig up a boom tent for it. I think you're going to like this boat. It's easy to trailer and would make a fine beach cruiser. Good luck with it and if you need any O'Day parts for it, call Rudy at D & R Marine. He is very knowledgeable about these boat too. http://www.drmarine.com/
