Docking on the lake has its problems, particularly with debris of all sorts that CLOG up the one drain hole at the base of the transom. After heavy rainstorm activity, and the drain hole strainer clogged, the cabin sole started a new lake bottom. I drilled a 1" drainhole through the transom at the base of the motor well, which I leave unplugged while the boat is unattended. No more rain problems. Because smaller lakes don't really have following seas, - I leave the drain hole unplugged all the time. It's mice not having to wworry about a strainer.
