Hi All,
The Hunter 240 was the boat that made me stop dreaming about sailing and start taking lessons. I love the looks of that boat and wanted to buy one. When it was time to buy a boat I thought it might be easier to start smaller and learn on a 170.
I've had my 170 for 6 years now, and I love it, as does my daughter. My wife and son, however, find it "too tippy."
When I read reviews of the 240, the biggest knock is initial stability (I read this as "too tippy"). I wonder if any of you have sailed both a 170 and a 240 and could share your opinions. I am considering the 240, but the Compac Eclipse and the Catalina 22 seem like they might be more wife and son friendly.
Thoughts???
John
