I have a 1992 First 310 that has the original 130% headsail. I'm thinking about replacing with a 155%, however, in looking at the car track I'm not sure I'll be able to get the cars back far enough to get proper sail shape with the 155%. Anybody know if the 155% will be OK without changing the track, which I don't want to do.

155 genny

Randy; A 155 genny should be OK. I have one on my Ben. OC400. Most modern boats are designed to take advantage of the complete spectrum of sail size, but are equipped with smaller ones to keep the builder's costs in line. If you're in doubt, find out the foot measurement of the sail and duplicate that with small line and see how far it comes back, then you'll be able to see the sheet angle you'll need. Good luck.
