We are having a Harken roller furling/reefing system (unit 1) installed on our 1988 33.5. We are also buying a tape drive laminate for the headsail and are planning on a 150. The tracks seem to go back far enough. Has any 33.5 owners put that big of a genny on theirs? Also, anybody use the hole forward of the anchor locker to house the drum of the roller furler? If so, is there any problems with access or sliding the luff tape into the groove or removing them. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Doug

150 Head sail

Doug, I have a 1988 Hunter 33.5 and had plenty of track to fly a 150, As far has the roller in the anchor locker I,m not sure, I elected to build a custom anchor roller on mine and can no longer use that hole. Dan

reefing

The problem with using the hole in the anchor well is that you will have to route the reefing line down and throught the anchor locker. I did this on my '88 33.5 when I installed my Hood system. I drilled holes thru the deck and used exit plates to finish them off. You may have to use a block in the anchor well to maintain the right angle for the reefing line onto the drum.
