I am purchasing a new Cat 310 and wonder if it's necessary to upgrade to the 150% genoa or is the 130% fine? Please advise. Thanks! Carl

jib size

Carl, I too had to decide on the size jib I wanted when selecting a 36 jib an now a jib for a 42. You need to think about where you sail and if you race etc. The thing that made me go for the 155% is the fact that I can ALWAYS use it on calm/light wind days and it cost more. So, if you can get the 155 for the same price, that would be my selection and then get a second sail for less $$$$... good luck!

What conditions do you sail in?

I sail in San Francisco bay where a normal summer day can range from 10 to 30 knots. Usually a 110 or 120 is plenty here. I sold the two 155s that came with the boat since I don't race and it is very seldom that I could have used them anyway.
