Has anyone been fortunate enough to locate a 12-volt extension cord with cigarette ends that is heavier than 16 AWG ? The extension cord I now have is 18 AWG and rated for 10 amps. The load on the cord is an 8 amp hand held spot light. All the hard boat wiring up to the plug for the spot light is 12 AWG so no losses there. The light pulls 8 amps if plugged directly into the wall outlet but drops to 6 amps if the cheapo extension cord is used. The light is now a rosy yellow rather that a white halogen light. Anything ............. please ? ? ? Regards, s/v Island Hunter

Make one?

Check out Radio Shack or an electronics store and you may be able to purchase the components to make one.

Bought One

They do exist as I purchased. Can't recall if it was at K-Mart, WalMart in the auto section, but it was one of the two. Good Luck
