I was working in a store in NY when some one said a plane crashed into twin towers OMG came back later another plane hit the twin towers OMG my 2 step sons NYFD in NYC,I started having a bad feeling and went home to get many phone calls that my stepsons were at the twin towers and than a phone call from a nurse in ER that Kevin was there but she would not say any more,Brian was OK but Kevin's house had lost many Men.
The next day I drove my wife to NJ where Kevin was in Hospitial,I met a NYC fireman on the road and he gave a NYFD shirt and bage so I could get through the road blocks keeping most people out of NYC and NJ.
We got to hospital and Kevin was just air lifted to ER another hospital for much surgery,when we did get to see him I remember seeing black and blue from head to foot.
Both sons are doing well today retired from NYFD,many lives were lost that day and ThankYou God for saving so many lives that day.

Before it was "9-11" it was and is my dear departed wife Linda's birthday(1942). Naturally there was not a party that day in 2001. Tomorrow, Saturday, I will put both flowers and a flag at her gravesite. I will say a prayer thanking her for forty-two years. And one for the police, firemen, and families of NYC. Yes, thank them for us Nick.

I will never forget that morning! I couldn't work, couldn't tear my self away from the TV ... felt like I was in shock!

We Canadians feel your pain like it was Vancouver or Toronto. We took in thousands of travellers from US planes grounded in Canada into our homes. We stood shoulder to shoulder with you in Afghanistan and we continue to do so. 160 of our boys have come home in coffins from Khandahar (mostly IED's the cowards set by the roadside).

At the borders we all continue to pay with our time, money, and personal submission to security scans because of these creeps.

I personally feel there will never be an end to this war on terror until we deal with the grass roots medrassas and preaching and teaching of hatred that inspires such acts. Unfortunately there has not been the will in places like Pakistan and elsewhere to go after these instigators ...

so on we go.
