Hello All: Just wondering if anyone has a source of supply for the 10 amp resettable fuse for the blower fan and instruments on the admiral panel for a universal M25XPB? I can find 10 amp fuses but the diameter of the barrel is too large and there is no small rubber cover. Cheers, Chris

Circuit Breaker not fuse

Sorry folks! This is a circuit breaker not a fuse. I temporarily replaced the breaker with an equivalent fuse late last season; I was confused! I am thinking that this may be the part but have not got a detailed enough description or the parts manual. 36563 Circuit Breaker 10Amp 12VDC Regards Chris

Circuit Breaker difficult to source

Hello Paul, The breaker is clearly seen on the second picture (panel open) in the top right quadrant of the picture. It has two blade connectors (one blade connector has two leads). I have been able to find equivalent CB's here in Halifax but the barrel of the push button is a larger diameter and the rubber cap does not come with the CB, i.e. it would be exposed to the weather. I have sent emails to various suppliers with no luck so far. Thanks for posting the pictures. Chris

Work-around - velcro!

Thanks Mark: I have thought about calling them but in the end, I think I will put some heavy duty velcro on the CB I have sourced and attach it to the inside of the panel. This way, if the CB trips, I can reset it (I will have to remove the eight screws holding the panel face). I think it was exposure to weather that caused the initial CB to fail. I replaced it temporarily with a normal fuse holder and equivalent fuse. It has only tripped twice in several years. I think it was after letting the exhaust fan run for a long time and starting at the same time. I installed a tankwatch 4 on my tank today. I will try and post pictures over the next few days. I won't be in the water until May. I head back to West Africa to work for 28 days next week. Regards Chris

Call Seaward

they most likely made the panel for Catalina, like they've been doing for the past 26+ years. Seaward 3721 Capitol Ave, Whittier, CA 90601-1732 (562)-699-7997, Dennis Xtn 210

Seaward panel - circuit breaker.

Hello Stu: It is in fact a Seaward panel - thers's a sticker on the inside of the panel saying this. I didn't know how to contact them. I will contact them in the morning. I keep tripping over posts you have made and have observed to myself how useful the information is. In fact, today I was looking at a post you made about foot blocks for ASym sheets. I am in the decision phase of installing padeyes, etc. Your knowledge coupled with your willingness to assist are an inspiration to this and other forums. Chris

Always glad to help

Paul is also a valuable resource -- must be since we both used to own Catalina 25s! :):):) Safe journey to Africa and back.
