The main bilge has a hole above just aft of the bilge pump. it's about 1 inch above the bottom of the bilge. Does anyone know what this drains?

I get a slight amount of seepage from under all stainless-steel keel bolts when the boat is out of the water. Have resealed the keel stub -keel joint with 3M 4200 every spring which slows but does not stop this leakage when the boat is in the water. This winter, I vacuumed out the keel 's 4-5 gallons of water while the boat was out of the water and laid up for the winter. I did this in Jan, February and 3 times in March and then yesterday It's not sea water. What is the best solution? I will try to find any leak of rain water and re-seal the stanchions and chain plates. I usually like 3M 4200 white for this.

The boat is at a marina surrounded on three sides by water and a marsh. It's in a humid area of the NJ shore. I do not think this is condensation but I could be enlightened.

Boat had 1-2 hard groundings in 2002 and then in 2010 but not hard enough to dent the keel. Sails well to weather in 15-20 knots.

Any ideas or similar experiences?

Thanks for your help and ideas!

Any chance some or all of the water you are removing is coming in through the top of the mast when it rains? I have this problem on my boat and have learned to live with it.

I guess water when the level reaches over an inch due to a pump malfunction. Better kept under the sole than over it. Where is your fridge draining to?

All good thoughts! Thanks for the responses!

The fridge drains into the bilge, but it's been off since November.

The pump will come on when there are two inches of water in the bilge when the boat is in the water. I will check the mast for water coming in but the mast sits on the outside of the foredeck. There are penetrations next tot he mast where the power, VHF and sensor cables come inside the boat worth checking and re-bedding around the entry point when there is an aluminum shield.

I will check the bilge after Saturday's upcoming rainstorm.
I have a leak over the starboard settee in the main saloon that comes from a fixed port, stanchion bedding or a chain plate. This water could be entering and running under a cabin top liner into the bilge.

How did you get access under the rub rail? I think it has to be removed from inside the boat? Got photos?

All outside. You have to heat the rubber a lot and bend it out. Then there are a lot of deck bolts that hold a plastic keeper that have to be removed. Then you cut out as much of the old 5200 in the joint. Refill the joint with 5200. You have to buy new plastic keepers because the old was destroyed when removed. You can buy that on this site. You can decide how far up to go on each side to make sure no water is getting in the joint. Don't know it I still have pics but will look.
