This is the wind instrument I have on the boat...it works fine, but the LCD is getting dim/difficult to read. Thoughts on fixes? Is there a replacement instrument with compatible plugs of the same size?

Hello All, I bought a 1980 Oday 30. The wind reader has never worked. The current electronics are via Signet which is 40 years old. If I were to upgrade to a new Raymarine wind reader, would I also need to climb the mast and replace the transmitter with the same brand? Thanks for looking, Jim

I have the original wind direction and speed instruments on my 1981 C38. I would like to replace them with one Raymarine ST40 Wind instrument. Will the mast top indicators interface with this display unit? Thanks Scott
