    Scrap section of rub rail base?

    I have a Hunter 280 and a small section of the white, rigid rub rail was damaged against a piling during a storm. The black rubber insert is OK. The Hunter Owners shop sells lengths of 55' and 80' (Hunter 280 rub rail, rigid keeper) but all I need is about 6'. Wondering if someone out there...
