oceanis 36 cc

I have an Oceanis 36cc with a Leroy Somer windlass (no longer in production).The current chain size is 3/8 which I feel is to large since it jumps out of the gypsy when trying to raise the anchor. I have not been able find information regarding the correct size. I'm thinking about replacing it...
