hunter 22 boom jack vang

I am a new owner of a 1982 hunter 22.. I have it in the water and am rigging the boom and see that I have a pully setup for a boom vang but I do not see where my block attaches at the foot of the mast. I see the ring on the boom but where it connects to the mast base or deck is a mystery. Am I...
