We're about to make the trip back to the yard. It's roughly a 38 mile trip. We're expecting 2' seas and light winds on a reach. Estimating 5-7 hours of travel. I found @Stu Jackson's fuel log for his C34 with an estimated, conservative, fuel usage at 1/2 gallon per hour. Now begs the question... How big is the fuel tank on the C30? I'm really strapped for time before this trip so I probably wont be able to look at the label on the tank.

Quick Internet search says 18-21 gallons, with 18 being more common. 
40 nm @ 4 knots = 10 hours
10 hours = 5 gallons at 0.5 gph

No way you run out (if you have a relatively full tank) only motoring 7 hours…that is like 3-4 gallons of fuel at most.
But bring a Jerry can just in case!

Thank you for the info and your fuel log. I just did a quick road navigation that loosely followed the shore. 38 is a high estimate. Nautical miles will be less as it'll be closer to a straight line.

I'd be sailing into December if I could! The tank is 3/4 of the way full. The fuel dock has very limited hours. The PO overfilled the tank for our maiden voyage.
