If you need them replaced, they are easily done by connecting the ends together and pulling through. I replace mine myself.

I have seen him helping a guy get the mast stepped on his Cat 22, but that's just a trailer sailor. I have really don't know what his scope of services is. I wish I could be more help. I can only suggest you give him a call.

Perhaps they were referring to the kind of lift arrangement available at our marina, which is simply a telephone pole with a cable winch attached. I would think that kind of rig would be adequate for a medium-sized boat like yours.
