The HIN would confirm...
Can't get close enough to see a HIN, but @Rick D seems to have nailed it. Far as I can tell, it's a Challenger 32. The pretty scroll work near the stern is a good hint.

I'm sorry, but I hope you aren't thinking of owning that boat? The saying, "there's no such thing as a free boat", is very, very true. Very few people succeed in bringing back boats in that condition. More than likely water has entered the boat while on the land, causing a lot of interior damage.
Often, owners give away their boat to avoid the cost of having it disposed of.

Geez, no. Just curious about an interesting boat I've never seen before.

She's been abandoned for years and the marina tells me her days might be numbered. Turns out that disposing of abandoned boats isn't cheap or easy.

Another cost of doing marina business, I guess.

And while there are many recyclable items on the boat, the cost of recycling them exceeds the revenue generated.

Yeah, that's what the marina manager tells me. They won't come close to recovering the money owed to the marina.

There are boat recyclers out there, but it's dirty work and not cheap to reclaim and dispose. And there's paperwork for all levels of govt. That alone is a long process.
