Hi,
Recently came into a free Chrysler 22. Was really excited about it, but after significant cleaning I have been finding more mice droppings mostly where the cabin top meets the liner. I pulled the leather lining of the v-berth pockets to find they had borrowed in between the liner and fiberglass. Is there any way to clean this area between the liner and fiberglass? Is there space between the cabin top and liner that they could have also been living?

Should I just get rid of this boat at this point?

Read up on hantavirus and decide for yourself.
Yeah I don't want to mess with Hantavirus, I've been wearing PPE and gloves and cases in the Northeast are minimal. Any help on the other questions? Or just scrap any boat that has ever had a mouse on it?

Ooph! We had the white footed mice in one of our homes on Eastern LI. At that time there was a well publicized death from Hantavirus of a teenager who was cleaning up something - attic, garage, cabin - I don't remember. We went on an aggressive mice elimination campaign with liberal use of gloves, masks, disinfectants etc. Also we weren't in the danger age group. I'm not current on the Hantavirus.
But I think I remember it was the dust of their feces that spread the virus. Keep everything wet, lots of chlorine and PPE.
As I understand your repair I think that you would have to remove the liner to disinfect the space between the liner and hull. I have no idea what the liner is. Is it worth it? Wouldn't be for me.
